strawberry shortcake surprise doll review

the packaging is also cute here . i saved both this ones and the rb dolls for art projects and such in the future.

doll

articulation: same points of articulation. much slimmer and poses slightly better as a result, especially in the elbow region.
mould: the head is very big. the plasic seems to be slightly coarser as well? her leg fell out a few times but just popped back on.
paint: really nice looking! not identical to the original ss dolls, which id have preferred, but still gorgeous
hair: soft AF. i dont know what to tell you
smell: not like the strawberry shortcake i know! i guess there kind of was a smell but so light it could have been someones perfume from across the parking lot

accessories

she comes wearing a dress, leggings, and shoes, as well as a hat that is not removable except with brute force or scissors. the included accessories are a comb, her cat , named custard, lunchbox, and a basket of strawberries which i believe is her surprise item.
dress:as you can see. this dress is not as gorgeous as its 80s counterpart but for what it is it gets the job done. its made of 2 different fabrics, the shiny red plastic and the white cotton plastic. there is also a ribbon bow in the back which is mega adorable.
leggings: green an white leggings man nothing to write home about. they do the job. i do appreciate that theyre not just printed on like some other iterations.
shoes: enormously cute.i love them & i want them in my size
hat: same satin material as the dress with a giant embroidered strawberry in the front.
comb: honestly too small and weirdly shaped to really comb anything especially a doll with such little hair but its the thought that counts
cat: LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE this is my favorite thingg evaerrrrr so super cute. solid pink chunk of love
lunchbox: once again a marvel of physics and art i will cherish this forever
basket: super cute as well. i like how it is very detailed. also the doll can kinda hold it with her elbow.

overall

i like her a teensy weensy bit more than rainbow brite. i love both franchises a lot butman they knocked it out of the park with this doll.also to my baby cousin this strawberry shortcake was a evil witch who eats children so theres also that.
