i have very quickly fallen head over heels in love with peter gabriel and his work. particularly, as you may be able to tell here, the fantastic cosumes from the early days of genesis. Initially, i thought of using papier mache for the face, like the classic boudoir dolls frequently used, but i accidentally created a colony of mold :)
The clothing consists of (currently) a shirt, pants, shoes, and 2 hats.
the shirt still needs buttons. it turns out i do not own more than 2 of any kind of button. the part i'm most worried about is the hair... it is cotton yarn directly modpodged onto the head, and is already starting to fall out (male pattern baldness reference?)
everything is hand-done, to the best of my ability. i do not have a sewing machine. except for the yarn, all materials are secondhand.
i hope you're as charmed as i am by this doll! i can't stop looking at him, he is so wonderful. though i'm not an expert at this by any means. and there are a great deal more clothes in this doll's future.

update

Ok so i'm very focused on this. i spent 2 days making a tiny dress and i need to make the fursuit head to go with. i spent 2 days making a flower hat, it was very hard for no reason at all. I'm omitting glitter alltogether, at the cost of accuracy. funnily enough, a stubborn speck of glitter found it's way onto pgs forehead and won't come off. I spent in total over 8 hours cutting/sewing/fussing with the cape. and cranked out an old man mask very quickly. i finally figured out the button situation, i literally cut 3 buttons off of one of my shirts. I would do anything for my craft.
You'll notice that i havent done anything from lamb lies down on broadway. Well I may get to it eventually but I'm starting with costumes from the 3 preceding albums. I hope you will forgive me.

update

Ok idid make the fox mask but i'm losing steam so the next costume will be brittania but that won't be for a while
